Think of this as the pre-tournament qualifiers. If you have a good beer palate and want to help pick finalists, send us a request to join.

NHL StANLEY CUP FINALS

The Florida Panthers have a 3-2 games lead on the Edmonton Oilers, so this might be the clincher to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup. (It’s ugly, but still a huge deal.) We’ll have the game on, and we’re rooting for the Oilers because, well, we want the series to go to 7 and we miss the old Houston Oilers.
WHISKEY WEDNESDAY

OK, this is new (literally making it up right now), but how about we give everyone 50% every whiskey drink for the evening? Is that something you’d be interested in? Would that encourage you to try some new, delicious whiskeys? If we have a big turnout, maybe it becomes a regular thing! And, hey, please tip your bartenders as if they were full price though, ok? They’ll be working just as hard for you!

The 360ers have their monthly happy hour this Thursday, with extended happy hour prices plus $9 specials “360 Cocktail” specials for them, co-designed/approved by Reid Wilson and Judy Tierney! If you’re not a 360er, we recommend either 1) buddy up to a 360er so you can get these specials, 2) ask Judy to help you find a place to live in 360, or 3) have your own building or business establish their own monthly happy hour and get a special deal for yourself! (Pro tip: choose all 3 options.)

It’s really just an excuse for TGIF, start-the-weekend-early, opening 3 hours earlier, right after lunch, and making happy hour start 2 hours earlier. We’re really good at excuses. So, if you’re working half-days, we’ve got you covered. And if you insist on really working, we’ve got good WiFi, and we’ve got free chips and salsa, “The Office” and “Mad Men” episodes on the TVs, and $3 off the “Mad Men” favorites: neat whiskeys, old fashioneds, manhattans, and vodka martinis. However, because we have better taste than the Mad Men, we’ll extend that to gin martinis (aka ‘real’ martinis), and we will not use Don Draper’s f***** Canadian Club in the old fashioneds because we like you.
The Remedy Trivia SUMMER LEAGUE
Every Tuesday Starting June 24 @ 7 pm
We’re taking a short pause from trivia this week and next, but on Tuesday, June 24, we start the Remedy Trivia Summer League, with Katie Freed as your emcee and referee. Why is it a league, you ask? Solid question: we’re not only having winners each week, but also a team can win the summer! From June 24 through early August, teams with the same name and captain (and a roster of no more than 10, with 6 playing per week) can add up their points each week and we will have a playoff to crown a champion in mid-August! You know how weekly winners get those gift cards for Remedy? Well, the Summer League championship team will get an entire free happy hour*! So, let’s see if the Northshore Slayers or the Monarchians or any of the other recent weekly winners has the smarts and stamina to go the distance in the hot Texas summer! (Remember to hydrate, and remember whiskey is over half water!)
